Quantum Experience

I worked in a Test Engineering department. Here I designed and maintained disk drive tests. I worked with all kinds of hardware and software engineers:

* Mechanical engineers for precision test stands
* ASIC engineers for details about how to write waveform data
* Servo engineers for details about seeking fractional track widths
* Drive firmware engineers for special commands
* Read/write engineers - these were the primary consumers of my test data

During my years at Quantum I worked on HDA Test, an important early pre-production test.  I also made important contributions to a test which stressed finished goods and a tester for validating the proper operation of an otherwise untestable corner of one IC on the drive PCB.
